I would like to tell you a little about myself. My love for animals started when I was very young. My parents bred Shetland Sheepdogs for over 17 years, so growing up I was always around dogs and puppies. As a child I had many different pets. From a squirrel that we found and raised, to mockingbirds, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens, to your normal cats and dogs.

After years of being unhappy in the blue collar work world I decided that becoming a professional pet sitter was for me. So I started Taj Mahpaw Pet Sitting and have never been happier. I LOVE animals!! Big or small, furry or not! It gives me great joy to help others who feel the same way about their pets as I feel about my own. I have one dog, 2 cats, a cockateil, a fish, and a rat. I treat my animals as if they were my children and I give them only the best. And I treat my clients pets the exact same way!

I have a business license with the state of Florida. I am insured with Pet Sitters Associates LLC. My insurance includes a surety bond for theft as well. So you can always rest easy whether I am in your home or your dog is in my home.

I am a member of an organization called Pet Sitters International. They were founded and are still run by a professional pet sitter named Patti Moran. They are one of the largest pet sitter organizations in the world. They offer networking, education, and other resources to help a pet sitter be the best they can.

Lastly, I am a certified professional pet sitter through PSI. From Pet Care, Health and Nutrition to Business & Office Procedures and Additional Services, the program content is tailormade for in-home pet care and written by industry experts. I passed the exam with a score of 93%. I am also a member of a Polk county Pet Sitters Network and the North East Polk chamber of commerce. So in a cases where my schedule may be full, I will be able to refer you to a reliable sitter.
